ONE DAY AT A TIME

We have finished most of our house and it looks a bit better. The weather has been lovely the last two days. Before I was pregnant I could not stand rainy weather because it made my bones pain but as soon as you have a little bundle inside you heating you up, well let's just say that the sun is the last thing you want making you even more excruciatingly hot. There are two more things I realized that is happening in my pregnancy, stretchmark's on my top legs and the decreasing need to eat. I hardly eat these days so I know that I am not picking up any other weight except that of the Boepie. Does my legs have anything to do with baby's arrival? Sometimes mother nature sucks and there is no logic behind it, this is one of those cases.

I have read up on absolutely everything that can happen during pregnancy and according to a text-book-pregnancy I would eat more and get increased hunger. I have lost all my normal pre-pregnancy love for all things nice and sweet or even sour things. I eat probably most evenings 2 slices of bread and then that's my meal for the entire day. I constantly feel physically tired and nauseous.

THE NEED TO WORK

I am now realizing how important work is for a woman's sanity. I'd rather be working as an intern than sitting in the hot house every day. I have put up ads to say that I am looking for part time work from home. Wish me luck!

CORBYNNE'S HOBBIES

So here I am sitting and wondering what star sign the new baby is going to be. Corbynne is a Virgo and this one is going to be a Taurus or a Gemini. I'm hoping for a Gemini. Baby is due anytime between 21 May 2013 and 1 June 2013. I'm counting on 1 June because the sonar has messed my due date up. There's a 3 week difference already. This time I'm having my baby at a private hospital and I am so scared the decide to cut me on the earliest EDD mark. I don't want my baby born 3 weeks before it was suppose to. Now back to star signs. I wonder if a star sign has anything to do with a child's personality. I'm a Sagittarius but I don't have any Sagittarius characteristics.

If my significant other has to find out I am already checking star sign characteristics I will have to explain myself again. He doesn't like me reading on it he says it is hocus pocus. I looked through Corbynne's colouring book yesterday and I was so impressed. It is amazing to see how your kids develop and you won't understand it until you have your own kids. At first Corbynne used to colour the whole page in one colour. I tried to teach him to colour in the lines. I looked through his book and saw he is colouring individual parts in the picture for example the stars will be coloured (a bit over the lines) and the shoes of the man will be a different colour etc. I felt that proud momma moment in my chest LOL

The other night we were so impressed as well. He was colouring his picture on the floor and he said that the bird ate the dog. We saw no dog and brushed it off. Adamant as Corbynne always is he insisted we look and we saw the man is pulling on a leash but the leash is in the birds beak and there's a knob in the neck. FINALLY! We figured it out too and we had to boast about our clever kid. The very next day I took the book to my family and showed them and so the news travelled about how clever Corbynne is at figuring it out first.

Corbynne has 3 favourite toys at this stage. He plays with the following the whole day:
His train track, his colouring book, his mix and match cards. I bought him mix and match cards for his 3rd birthday and I thought I am being rather silly because he won't be interested in it or be able to play with it properly but boy was I wrong. Every mother believes her kid is a little Einstein but the proof is in the pudding and my pudding is smart :)

Today I got my normal weekly baby update newsletter and it said that baby is around 700g and 30cm. Can that be? To me it feels like I am just fat and carrying a Barbie doll.

How funny and selfish can we be when pregnant. Bought 3 boxes of smarties and ate them all alone while giving my son fish fingers. Feel guilty but at least I am not craving smarties anymore.

My son came out the room and found the empty boxes. He asked "why you eat this" and I told him baby wanted it so he told me there's a lock on my tummy and baby's going to come out mommy's tollie. My response was baby isn't ready to come out yet so mommy and to eat the smarties so baby could have some. LOL

I feel guilty, going to go buy him chips now.

23WEEKS PREGGERZ

MOOD:  Contempt
WEATHER:  Coldish
DOING:  Watching Entourage
PLACE:  Lounge

CHAT ENTRY
Today has been a long boring day. I've spent most of it looking through articles on BabyCentre. We had Sunday lunch and my son is playing with his trains and train tracks on the lounge floor. I finally got my pregnancy journals I have been looking for all this time YAY FOR ME! I am so excited to get scribbling on them but I need to wait to have them printer out because my printer is inkless. I need to find a place that sells the ink and syringes to refill it yourself. I have so many things that I need to do, like printing out Corbynne's photo's, printing out my new found journal pages, move all my baby stuff over to my new temporary Wendy house. I won't be ale to take nice pictures here because of what it looks like so I need to create one spot in this wendy house where I can take photo's of my new baby. The plumbing still needs to be put in the Wendy house but plumbers are so damn expensive and the guy that was suppose to do it is so unreliable. I went onto OLX and advertised a few things that I want to sell including our cars.

My Current Pregnancy Symptoms:

Leg cramps
Stiff muscles
Chest pains
Full bladder
Heartburn
Beer craving
Insomnia

COT PAINTING FOR OUR NEW FAMILYMEMBER

So this is what the cot looked like originally. I hated the outdated look so I went to Builders Warehouse got white valvago lead free paint and went crazy on it.

A LOAD OFF MY CHEST

I have been spending the last two days on BabyCentre and realized that I need to sort my life out. My parents think I am still living with them because I go there everyday for 3-4 hours, I have not sorted anything out with my boyfriend. Corbynne's father thinks that everything is okay and quit frankly it's not. My baby is due in a few months and I need to sort out my living arrangements. There are so many things a person wants to vent about but how do I do that. I certainly can't do it on my blog. Corbynne's dad always had paranoia about a person's private life's details getting out and a person being recognized on the internet. It's always been quit exhausting. Even Blackberry Messenger, a person's status and picture always had him going off if it's too personal, yet I only have 5 contacts so what does it matter. To me a blog is a personal thing and the people that read it either relates or finds your life interesting. How am I going to get people to read my blog if all I talk about is the weather? I even contemplated not adding Google+ because people will see who I am. It's insane! I've kept my mouth shut because I am pregnant and the smallest little thing makes me explode and get into a state and it isn't good for my baby or myself but no more. I am opening my mouth today. I want to share my life with people who care! I want to reach out to people since it is not happening in my house. My life outside of reality is what is keeping me sane at this stage. I am unemployed, pregnant with my 2nd child and living in conditions I am not ungrateful for but it wasn't my dream to live like this. I need everybody to back off and let me be because I am utterly unhappy. I've been spending my days on BabyCentre now and it's a relief to know that I am not the only person with life issues.

All my life has consisted of is watching series and visiting my parents 3-4 hours a day and wasting R50 petrol a day. At some or other stage something's got to give and by the time the baby is here my life better be sorted out.

A lot of women have journals on the internet that really touches a person. I read one now http://www.babycenter.com/0_anna-clara-and-me-week-9-facing-the-demon_1496483.bc#comments. We aren't living in a world where you act superior anymore.

I don't think anybody in my life understands the mountain I do carry on my shoulders. Being a mom is hard, being a fulltime mom is even harder because there is no one else to blame if anything goes wrong. Corbynne's dad has always been nonchalant and says that kids don't care how we are living and there are many people living worse than we are but does that make it right? I constantly thrive for better and I want everything to be perfect. I don't want to take my baby out of the hospital and introduce him to our self built Wendy house. I am grateful that I have a roof over my head since my parents are the way they are but this isn't what I need. With time things will get better yes but let's face it Corbynne's dad drags his feet with everything and the poorer we can live the more money he assumes we have. I wasn't raised like this and this isn't my preference and it feels like I am being punished but I can't dare to tell him that.

23 WEEKS PREGGIEZ

Finally it seems like everything is back on track. No real pregnancy niggles except baby in my ribs (is that even possible this soon?) I went to the dentist and 3 fillings later I am good as new. Who would've guessed that pregnancy takes a toll on your teeth.... need to Google about that a bit more. Corbynne's teeth were perfect! He got a little certificate from Dr Hugo. I realized now how expensive it is to go see a dentist.

I need to get Corbynne (3) off the night nappy and not sure how I am going to do that since waking him up to go wee doesn't help. Corbynne's a restless sleeper and turns in bed like the hands of a clock. Trying to take Corby to the toilet morning hours is like dragging a dead body. He is heavy!!!

When Corbynne had to potty train I had no idea how to get it right he absolutely refused. My mom was looking after him at the time and she didn't have the patience to teach him and Corby didn't have the patience to learn. I eventually had to put him into a crèche close to my workplace. He potty trained well there.
