20 WEEKS PREGNANT

9 JANUARY 2013
Approx. 20 weeks pregnant

I have recently picked up 2kg all of a sudden. I have a similar symptom that I had with Corbynne I AM HAIRY!!! I have no more morning sickness and most of my tiredness is gone. I weigh 79kg I am very uncomfortable when sleeping and I can feel the weight of my chest picking up. I can feel the baby kicking and moving but nobody else can feel it through my tummy yet. Karin and I tried to hear the baby's heartbeat with a statoscope but heard nothing. My sans EDD seems very scattered so I am sticking to my LMP EDD. This baby is very relaxed but it's because I am not working at the moment and nothings causing me stress. We are still deciding on names. I am very constipated but Milk of Magnesia helps. I do have hypotension and heavy headaches.

SECOND SCAN FOR NEW BABY,NOTES AND WEIGHT GAIN SO FAR

4 JANUARY 2013 @ 15H00 N1 CITY HOSPITAL
Corbynne went with for the baby's 20 week scan. It is another boy! We saw the baby's face, fingers, hands, arms, legs and best of all the bottom of his foot was printed for me :) I have his mini footprint. How many mothers can say they have that?

MY THOUGHTS - 10 JANUARY 2013 (19-20 WEEKS)
My thoughts these days are more about getting ready for baby and thinking about where I would like to live. I am thinking about my birth plan and whether or not to accept an epidural for pain relief. Tea gives me severe heartburn and I get chest pains. I need to book a dental appointment for the whole family. I have been putting it off for too long. I am getting leg spasms at night. I am getting varicose veins on my legs. The strange dreams have subsided a bit.

NOTES TO MY BABY- 10 JANUARY 2013 (19-20 WEEKS)
We have the scan behind us and you are growing so nicely. We found out that you are a boy. I love you so much already. We are all so excited for you to arrive. Your cot is ready and all your clothes are waiting. I am very excited to meet you. We can't think of a name for you. Wish us luck in finding you a name my angel.

SCRABOOKING AND FOOT SOLES

Since I having nothing better to do these days I am thinking of scrapbooking. With my 1st son I kept a book documenting everything through pregnancy until current birthdays etc. I am keeping the same kind of book with this one but there is nothing wow about these books and I need to wow it up a bit. My friend Karin is also creative like me and with both her daughter Sharne and this pregnancy she is keeping Journals. She's more artistic than me but it is nice to have a best friend that has similar interests. I haven't blog in so long I haven't informed anybody of all the cute things happening in my life. I found out IT'S ANOTHER BOY! I went for my 20 week scan and got the cutest pic ever! A foot sole!

EVERYBODY WANTS TO BE A JUDGE

I have tried my utmost not to keep track of how far I am, all I am keeping track of is my 20 week scan in January. My symptoms are very mild at this stage. My morning sickness is completely gone now but I am very emotional and uncomfortable these days. I have become the type of person that wants to stay home, there's no place like home right? I feel physically comfortable in the morning and increasingly uncomfortable during the course of the day. I have washed all my baby clothes out just need to do the blankets. I am extremely tired and suffer from hectic headaches these days. Iron tablets are not helping much. My appetite is still gone and I have no cravings yet. I can feel my baby move around which is exciting. I want to start making a point of weighing myself regularly. I watching a birthing movie I broke into a sweat at the sight of a baby coming out. It looked evil and demonic so I will not be watching it in a mirror or having anybody film it. My son watched a small part of it as well as I can never keep him away from me long enough to watch it finish. He is so attached to me now that I am pregnant, it gets annoying actually. The crying and the crying out MOMMY! the whole time. Corbynne says he also has a baby in his tummy and he is gonna pee it out through his tollie. Whenever I go pee then he asks me if I'm gonna go pee my baby out. The other day I went to the dr and he asked me is the dr going to take the baby out. Well he has the right train of thought so rather that than lying to him about silly monkeys on a mountain or a mythical stork than outs baby's on your doorstep.

I am wondering a lot about when the baby is born, I would like more time at home with the kids but I might not be granted that as I am a single mother and I need to start job hunting again very soon. As much as my 3 year old drives me up the wall I love the little monster with all my heart.

What has caught my eye the last few weeks is how judgemental the people around me are about parenting skills, even people that has NEVER EVER had their own children. Everybody becomes a critic it seems. So that has kept me very entertained. Will keep this updated.

YEAST TABLETS

I remember that with Corbynne the Chemist gave me yeast tablets to increase breast milk. I am wondering if a person can take it to increase breast milk even before the baby is born. Can I use it during pregnancy? Google does not really have a lot of info on it when I Google it. I just don't want to go through the same thing I did with Corbynne early morning hours.

LOVING YOUR OWN

I feel like the only person that feels like this...

I was never one for children. I am babysitting 2 kids and my own not out of choice but because I was put in this position now. I love my own kid but other people's kids seem to irritate me. I feel like I can commit murder. Please tell me I am not the only one feeling like this. I wonder why this is.

MY BABY 14 WEEKS PREGGERZ

I have been very upset the last few days about my baby. I have felt sad but I refuse to hate my baby or regret him/her. Yes things are tough now but I will get through it and be a stronger person. There are so many people who would love to have a baby and they can't. Here I am and I get pregnant at a drop of a hat. I went to go buy Tommee Tippee bottles yesterday  It was a bargain at Baby Boom. Cape Gate's branch had to order it from Somerset but I finally got it. 4 bottles for R149!  I weighed myself today. From 83 kg I went down to 77 kg. My friend Karin is also now pregnant with me. She is about 8 weeks behind me but better late than never. I am so happy to have my friend preggies with me. Morning sickness has subsided and we went to go get clothes at Meltz for me. Shopping is so hard when you are overgrown at the waist and maternity clothes are overpriced just because we are desperate. I went with Corbynne's dad to a wedding. We went to Edgars for clothes and all I wanted to do was cry. I was tired, hot and irritable, not to mentioned trying on outfit after outfit with no luck. The evening was a success even though we failed at hiding my pregnancy. I felt like I was gonna pass out several times. I'm glad for the lady at Nedbank that told me sucking on sweets will help.
